TRAINSPOTTING:MOVIE POSTER
'Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suit on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourselves. Choose your future. Choose life....
This is the first phrase that you here in a movie.
....But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin.
And this is very last.
I will be just like you. The job, the family, the fucking big television. The washing machine, the car, the compact disc and electric tin opener, good health, low cholesterol, dental insurance, mortgage, starter home, leisure wear, luggage, three piece suite, DIY, game shows, junk food, children, walks in the park, nine to five, good at golf, washing the car, choice of sweaters, family Christmas, indexed pension, tax exemption, clearing gutters, getting by, looking ahead, the day you die.

HIT & FALL
This is part of the book 'The destructive character' written by Dick Raaijmakers.
The intention was to create a paragraph for 'Hit&Fall' Chapter with an actual 'hit' feeling. I thought of special print technique which will also have a 'destruction' feeling as the main theme of the whole book.

In September last year, the city’s populist right-wing mayor, Gilberto Kassab, passed the so-called Clean City laws. Fed up with the “visual pollution” caused by the city’s 8,000 billboard sites, many of them erected illegally, Kassab propose when all the all advertising boards were taking down and destroyed. it’s mostly has been done in the center and more or less rich neighborhoods, in some poor districts it’s still possible to find them.
While Mayor was busy ‘cleaning up’ streets from visual pollution the whole city sinks in dirt and garbage. ‘Piles of trash’ font is based on different levels of garbage on the streets. If to shape them it’s possible to create a form. Because 90% of the city are very poor and they can’t aloud to buy extra materials, it’s solution how to speak up. Because many rich people as well as mayor travel by helicopter, it’s also the way to bring their attention to a real problem.
Because the amount of trash on streets so big that it’s possible to shape letters in a very big size, as in height as in length.
The possible colour of final outcome can very, depends on what brand/brands people want to criticize, though it can also be random choice.

Scince Fiction Posters
If you've recently looked at online news channels or newspapers, probably you've already seen this tendency of irrelevant headlines, where article is about one thing and headline is something more shocky, attention bringing and completely about something else, than article itself. I decided to find headlines dedicated to astronomy events, since astronomy for me is a clear, where used rigorous methods for testing hypotheses subject. That's why I thought that reporting about such fundamental things as finding the water on Mars or Alien Invasion had to be covered up with prices accuracy. However I found out that it's not true, newspapers still fight for the amount of clicks on the article - headlines. Here are my responses on those 'glitches' in the way how information was given.
Articles can be found on:

Marshall McLuhan
McLuhan contends that all media--in and of themselves and regardless of the messages they communicate--exert a compelling influence on man and society. Prehistoric, or tribal, man existed in a harmonious balance of the senses, perceiving the world equally through hearing, smell, touch, sight and taste. But technological innovations are extensions of human abilities and senses that alter this sensory balance--an alteration that, in turn, inexorably reshapes the society that created the technology.
This book consists out two parts - the 'machine' language interview and links onto 'human' - visual part of the content. Where you can find generalized pictures that are made for this particular chapter.
The idea was also to see how online services such as tumbler can be interfered into the print media. My final decision was to keep book online on issue web-site and made it brows-able to everyone, as a response to that people slowly rejecting print medium and switching to electronic devices, such as iPad, kinddles etc

The Destructive Character
The Destructive Character is a treatise on the role of destruction in the arts, and its title is borrowed from the essay written by Walter Benjamin. Although their aims and ideas about the destructive character are widely divergent — in a letter to a friend Raaijmakers even admits that he might have ‘misinterpreted’ Benjamin — the context from which they decided to write their respective text show considerable overlap. Just like Benjamin, Raaijmakers completed his analysis of destruction in art under the pressure of social and political conditions following the 9/11 attacks, which are, in our times, aggravated by an economic crisis of either real or fantasmatic — in any case considerable — proportions.
This book is designed with main theme - destruction. I tried to approach it in neat way by creating a system, where the main language will be dutch and in order to 'get rid off' English you have to fold the borders of the pages, which will also restore the 'right' order of the pages. Reader would be able to find all the links to images and footnotes.

Rzr
This typeface was created specially for the dutchdesignwordenboek website, which works as sort of dictionary of dutch design. It shows a small part of the investigation into the confusion in the Dutch graphic design by Serena Williams MA .The idea was to create a typographical toolkit with which will be possible to re-create every single sentence from this website.
The study is divided into propositions, woolly language, liners, new words and imagery. Because those 'new' words and phrases were made up by designers, I decided to make a typeface which will look very bold and completely filled in, as a reflection on their made up language. I created a 2 grid systems - one for capitals and one for lower case and numbers and laser cut it on sticker paper. In order to create a letter from my typeface, people just have to peel off the stickers. However, if user isn't really happy with my initial design, he/she can use my grid to create their own type possibilities.

Gerhard Richter Essay
It's a typographical exercise, where the idea was to create a mini publication on the essay that we (as students) wrote on our art history class.
Mine was about Gerhard Richter. Mine idea was to make a museum publication. I wanted to keep as simple as possible and wanted every page to look like as mini work, with it's title and inspirational phrase. I also kept the work of Richter on the background (because I was only aloud to use only one image) so the reader would still have a sense of his work while reading.

Copy Machine Poster
In this project I supposed to experiment with scanner. So my first step was all kinds of tryouts with layout, by experimenting with a lot of layers of letters in copy machine. Second step was to find a quote about graphic design/typography which will include words graphic design or typography. My choice was Nevile Brody's quote 'Typography is a manipulation tool within society'. The final step was to find balance between layout and quote itself.

Age of Mechanical Reproduction
My point of view of how books can be reproduced in the mechanical era. Using the imperfection of continuous reprinting, I created a book based on the famous essay of Benjamin Walter.
Every page contains key words from the chapter. It's a reflection on how people read - remembering key words/tags which allow them to reproduce the whole text in their memory.

Addiction
Recently you see more and more people who are ready to refuse to live in reality, instead they are sucked in many popular online games, where they, basically given a scenario which reminds real life, but a little but speeded up, so you can feel that you achieve so many things in such short terms. There were a lot of stories that people died playing them, died because forgot to eat, to sleep. Is it really worth it? And is in't it just a new type of drug? You can't accuse game creators in making their games more addictive, otherwise how would they earn money? But what you can do, why do people play days, nights long? Isn't it a new drug?
